He was born January 23, 1917, in Waynesboro, a son of the late I. A. Wine and Lula Page Wine.

Surviving is his son, Robert Vance Wine, Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Juanita Williams Wine; two grandsons, Robert Neal Wine and David Vance Wine; one great-grandson, Robert Page Wine; one brother, Page W. Wine of Waynesboro; and three sisters,Louise W. Smith, Rosa W. Prout of Waynesboro and Francis W. Wine of St. Petersburg, Fla.

Mr. Wine was a member of First United Methodist Church, a retired C & O Railroad engineer and a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 55.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. Byron Wilkinson at Riverview Cemetery.
