Samuel was 37 years old when he and Sarah Whisler were married. It is probable that he remained at his parent's home until his marriage. The 1840 census shows that there were two males in the Daniel Wine household who were between the ages of30 and 40. In 1840 Samuel would have been about 34 years old.
